SYNOPSIS

A landmark release on the Three Blind Mice label, Blow Up is one of the most celebrated Japanese jazz recordings of the 1970s. Led by bassist Isao Suzuki, joined by Kunihiko Sugano (piano), George Otsuka (drums), and guest saxophonist Kenji Mori, the session balances fiery hard bop with lyrical ballads and exploratory improvisation. Famous for its dynamic interplay and TBM’s audiophile-grade recording quality, the album became a cult favorite among jazz collectors worldwide. Today, Blow Up is regarded as both a pinnacle of Suzuki’s career and an essential title in Japanese jazz.
