SYNOPSIS

Nearly two decades after its original 1994 release, Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Nothing Much Better To Do returned in a Deluxe Edition that reintroduced this cult classic to a new generation. Often called the “godfather of Harajuku,” Fujiwara was already a cultural icon for shaping Japan’s street fashion and creative scene, but this album highlighted his musical side: a relaxed, genre-blurring blend of downtempo grooves, hip-hop beats, and acoustic textures.

The Deluxe Edition expanded on the original, featuring remastered audio and additional tracks that further highlighted Fujiwara’s eclectic influences. It offered fans a chance to experience the album with improved fidelity and rare bonus material, underscoring how Nothing Much Better To Do functioned not only as a personal statement but also as a reflection of Tokyo’s 1990s cultural crossroads—where fashion, art, and music collided.
